He Denver Broncos ended a starting squad of 53 men on Tuesday, but the roster changes aren’t over yet.
After the team’s preseason finale last week, Broncos coach Sean Payton explained that the roster shakeup will continue, beginning with waiver applications Wednesday morning.
“It takes a minute [to sort out the roster]Payton said. “So we are evaluating everyone else’s cuts. This year we ranked fifth, which is high. That’s a good place to be.”
The NFL’s waiver order is the same as the NFL’s for the draft earlier this year. Prior to the trades, Denver was slated to take fifth overall in the 2023 draft, so the team will be fifth in the waiver order this week.
