San Francisco defeated Cincinnati, 4-1, Monday at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California.
Former Vol Nick Senzel, who was recently recalled from Triple-A Louisville, started in left field for the Reds. He was 1-for-4 and scored one run.
Senzel also played right field in the contest.
Senzel was the No. 2 overall selection in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. He played at Tennessee from 2014-16 and was an All-America standout and an All-Southeastern Conference performer.
Senzel came to the Vols from Farragut High School in Farragut Tennessee.
Cincinnati will next play Tuesday against San Francisco. First pitch is slated for 9:45 p.m. EDT at Oracle Park.
