Nashville SC will face FC Cincinnati in the Leagues Cup round of 32 on Friday in Cincinnati after advancing out of the group stage of the inaugural tournament involving MLS and Liga MX teams.
The game will be streamed on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Nashville finished second in its group in group stage play after winning 2-1 against the Colorado Rapids on July 23 and losing 4-3 in an entertaining match against Toluca. 20 MLS teams and 12 Liga MX teams advanced to the single-elimination knockout rounds.
MLS leader FC Cincinnati has won both games against Nashville SC this season, including a 1-0 Cincinnati win in Nashville on March 25 and a 3-1 Cincinnati win on July 15 in a chaotic match that featured two Nashville red cards in the second half.
The FC Cincinnati-Nashville SC winner will face the Chicago Fire-Club America winner in the round of 16 on Aug 6-8, with a specific date and time to be announced.
If the teams are tied after full-time during the single-elimination format, penalty kicks will decide the winner.
