SEPTEMBER 2 – Siloam Springs, Arkansas – The Jamestown University women’s soccer team had as many shots on goal as their rivals, with No. 20 John Brown University scoring. However, the problem for Jamie’s side was that their shots fell short as they lost 2-0 on Saturday 2nd September at the Golden Eagles Alumni Stadium.
Team Jamie’s two shots (0-3-1) came from Riley Bedard. On the other hand, the Golden Eagles had eight shots on goal from six different players. The Golden Eagles led Lorraine Walter’s three shots on goal, which included the first goal of the game in the eighth minute to give her team a 1-0 lead.
The Golden Eagles doubled their lead in the 19th minute when Kylie Kilvoy scored an assist from Walter to make it 2-0.
The Jimmies (0-3-1) came off the bench for this match as 16 different players appeared including seven who played all 90 minutes. On the other hand, only Golden Eagles goalkeeper Regan Riley played the full 90 minutes.
The Jimmies return to action at 7:30pm on Thursday, September 14th, when they go to Midland University.
