Roger Brugué collapsed during the injury time in the game against Racing
The meeting between Levante and Racing Santander, which ended in a 4-2 victory for the visitors, ended dramatically. With the clock showing 90’+14, winger Roger Brugué felt unwell and collapsed on the pitch, leaving everyone and everything quite apprehensive. Several players immediately approached the scene to help him, and medical teams also entered the pitch to help the player. After being observed, Brugué was taken off the pitch on a stretcher, stabilized in the locker room and later transported to the hospital. Referee Galech Apezteguía determined the end of the match right there.
On social media, Levante left an update with a positive note. “Brugui is conscious and his vital signs are stable. He is currently being taken to the hospital to carry out the relevant tests.” Coach Javi Calleja also addressed what happened at the press conference: “He was stable, he’s fine. He lost his vision, it was a big scare, but in principle everything will be fine.”
