O Corinthians was ordered by the Labor Court to compensate right-back Michel Macedo, who played just 30 times for the club between October 2018 and December 2021.
After an initial decision by the 90th Labor Court of São Paulo and appeals from lawyers on both sides, the Magistrates of the 7th Panel of the Regional Labor Court of the 2nd Region upheld the vast majority of the athlete’s requests.
The amount to be compensated by the club is R$ 1,570,475.32. New resources from Corinthians fit. The millionaire figure, however, is less than half of Michel Macedo’s initial request.
At the beginning of last year, the player’s lawyers made several labor requests and gave the case an initial value of R$3,648,846.42.
All requests made by Michel Macedo were reflected in his remuneration at Corinthians. According to the initial petition, the athlete earned the following salaries at Parque São Jorge:
- R$60 thousand per month from October 2018 to December 2018;
- R$200 thousand per month from January 2019 to December 2019;
