With Jonathan Taylor on the pup list for at least the first four weeks of the season and Zack Moss recovering from a broken armJackson is reportedly expected to start during the opener, according to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson on Friday.
Wilson reported that while Moss is doing well in his recovery, he is expected to return closer to Week 2 or Week 3.
Jackson would certainly be the next man on that stage. He had a solid preseason leading the backfield and has shown the ability to work on passes in the past. He’s probably new evan holl I would also mix in a solid amount if Moss is down.
Head coach Shane Steichen said Thursday that the Colts are hopeful Moss will be ready for Game 1, but he appears to be up in the air going into the weekend.
“Yes, I hope so. He’s going in the right direction and hopefully he’s there in Week 1,” Steichen said.
The Colts will release their first official injury report of the season on Wednesday, so we probably won’t have a clear picture until then.
