A Argentina will be Brazil’s opponent in the quarterfinals of the U17 World Cup, in Indonesia. The Argentine team defeated Venezuela, 5-0, this Tuesday, in the round of 16, in Bandung. Balbo (own goal), López, Echeverri and Ruberto (twice) scored the goals of the game.

Brazil and Argentina will face each other next Friday, at 9 am (Brasília time), in Jakarta. The Brazilian team will have had an extra day of preparation, as defeated Ecuador last Monday, 3-1, in the round of 16. The winner of the South American classic advances to the semi-final against whoever progresses from Spain x Germany.
The rivals dueled once in this year’s edition of the South American Under-17 Championship, held in March and April, in Ecuador. Brazil won 3-2 in the last round of the final hexagonal, a result that guaranteed the title for the Brazilian team.
